Some Info on the New Audi R8 V12
The new Audi R8 V12 is a very sweet, slick and fast car. You might think that this sports car uses premium fuel but it uses diesel! The engine has 500 hp with a V12 engine which makes this car insanely fast. It can hold 6.0L of diesel. The car can reach a top speed of 317 kilometres per hour (197.0 mph). This engine/power came from the automakers that made the race-derived 6.0 liter V12 diesel motor, which was in the R10 Le Mans competition car which was the first car it was used in. This engine is now available in the Audi Q7. This engine produces 738 pound-feet of torque. The peak torque, reached at only 1,750 rpm but this is still really decent. The car sprints to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds, according to the Audi Company. Earlier reports suggested that Audi would equip the R8 with a diesel engine for the 2009 model year, but the latest word is that the TDI R8 may never make it into production. Audi engineers are reporting that fitting the turbochargers into the allotted space is proving impossible, and the costs associated with making it fit would make it impossible for Audi to ever turn in a profit from a TDI R8. Some other accessories of the show car include a glass roof, an increased use of carbon fiber, revised front and rear aprons, and larger air intakes all around. The car also features all-LED headlights, which are actually pretty appealing, and are energy efficient and bright.

2004--Audi becomes the first manufacturer to feature peripheral white LEDs as daytime running lights on the Audi R8 V12.
2006--Audi introduces the first 12-cylinder diesel engine in a series passenger car with the Audi Q7. And later the sports car Audi R8 V12.
Future For This Car
I think that future for this Audi is going to be good because the company has already improved a lot since they started and they will continue to improve and invent their cars. This car, i predict, might turn into an electric car if the desiel fuel that it used becomes scarce or short on stock.
